Chapter 0622
He was a servant of the underworld-of course, he had a way.
"I've already told you, beggingwon't help. I'm just doing my job. | don't have any real authority. Instead of
pleading with me, you'd be better off sending a dream to the person you owe. Tell her everything she wants to
know. If she reunites with her father, maybe, just maybe, your sins will be lessened."
"A dream?" George asked, his voice trembling.
"Exactly. Now that you're dead, the only way to communicate with someone from your past life is through a
dream. It's likely your one and only shot at saving yourself.

George hurriedly asked, "How do | send a dream?"
"It's simple. I'll take you to a room. Whatever you want to say, just say it. She'll hear it."
He led George to a room shrouded in white mist, ethereal and surreal as if it were pulled straight from a dream.

George hesitated for a moment before finally speaking. "Suzy, it's me, George. You've been desperate to know
your father's whereabouts, haven't you? Well, I'm telling you now... | don't actually know where he is."
The man beside him froze, his composure breaking. "What?! After all this, that's your answer?"
George looked panicked. "I'm telling the truth! | really don't know where he is! At first, yes, | was the one who hid
him. But just before you all found me, he vanished without a trace.
"| went to Tanya for help because | needed the Goodwin family's resources to search for him. | couldn't do it on
my own!"
Outside the surveillance room, Suzy listened to the exchange, her brow furrowing tightly. "judging by his
microexpressions, he's telling the truth."
Allen, standing next to her, looked equally frustrated. "So, after everything we've done, it was all for nothing?
This bastard! If we'd known earlier, | would've sent him to the afterlife ages ago!"
