Chapter 313 "You..." Vespera was taken aback, and for sinexplicable reason. She felt unsettled.
Luke's expression darkened ominously. Her softened gaze and flustered, timid demeanor infuriated him so much that he nearly ground his teeth. Did she really like Dominic that much? "He can't be invited!" "I am going to invite him," Vespera said, regaining her composure and shedding her earlier unease.
When she looked back at Luke, her eyes were emotionless once more.
"He's the only one who can't come!" "He's the one who will be there." "What's so great about him?" "There's nothing he's not great at." Her voice trembled a bit.

Even with Dominic's arrival boosting her confidence, Luke could still be terrifying when he lost control. If she could have physically matched him, she wouldn't have been stuck here going in circles with him.
Weren't there online resources from dog trainers about how to protect oneself if confronted by a large, aggressive dog on the street? Running wasn't advised. The more one ran, the more the dog would pursue. One also shouldn't show fear, staying calm was key... Yet deep down, fear still lingered in her heart.
A hand rested on her back, Dominic had already approached. Standing beside Vespera, he moved his hand forward, gently pulling her into his embrace.
Though his expression remained cold, his voice softened slightly. "Don't put any weight on your sprained foot." Vespera's heart fluttered. She glanced up at him just as he lowered his head.
Then she heard him say, "Lean onfor now, and then we can have a detailed conversation with Mr. Munoz about my suitability." Vespera remained silent, pressing her lips together as her face flushed pink. Luke was so furious he felt like he might spit blood.
"It appears Mr. Munoz has changed his mind about going. The sun has already set, so there's no point anymore. We'll be heading off," Dominic said in a slow, deep voice.
With that, he lifted Vespera in his arms. They were on the street! Vespera's mind screamed.
She weakly protested, "I can..." "You walk too slowly." Vespera fell silent as she thought, "Fine then." Dominic turned and carried her away.
They hadn't gone far when they heard Luke yelling from behind, "Who said we're not going? Just because it's getting dark doesn't mean we should be scared. Does Mr Reid want to die?" Dominic paused in his steps.

He turned to Luke and said, "If you're determined to go, then let's go. My car is more spacious." With that, he headed straight to the car, leaving no room for debate. Luke followed him.
Dominic opened the passenger door and helped Vespera into the seat. After that, he closed the door and then moved to the back to get in. With a serious expression, Luke entered through the rear door on the opposite side. The atmosphere inside the car was tense Vespera glanced at Gerard and instructed, "Gerard, drive carefully." Gerard replied in a tone filled with reluctance, "Do I really have to be a part of this, Vespera?" Vespera responded with a gentle smile, "What do you think?" She wished she could escape too.
"Start driving. Head to the nearby school," Dominic's voice directed from the back. Gerard sighed and began driving, turning the car toward the nearby high school.
