Chapter 304 Delilah was seething with rage, practically ready to explode.

Especially now, as they were surrounded by a crowd emerging from the event.

If there had been any doubts among the onlookers before, Hamilton's words just then had made Delilah's humiliation painfully clear.

"Hamilton," she hissed.

But Hamilton was over arguing. He simply grabbed Natalia's hand and led her away.

Natalia tried to pull away, but Hamilton wasn't having any of it.

"Stop struggling, Natalia, or I'll just carry you to the car. Your colleagues are watching." Natalia felt her chest tighten with frustration.

"Hamilton, letgo! Don't maketurn on you!" Hamilton just tightened his grip on her wrist and pulled her into the car without another word.

Once they were in the car, he asked, "Jealous?" Natalia glared at him. "Why would I be jealous?" But her tone was unmistakably sour, betraying her discomfort.

After all, Delilah officially held the title of his fiancée. His actions now, dragging Natalia into his , were degrading.

Holding Natalia's hand, Hamilton whispered, "What if I make our relationship public? Would that be better?" Natalia yanked her hand back.

"Just leavealone. That's better than anything." Hamilton sighed, his heart heavy. "You're the mother of my child, the one I've always cared for, the one I'd fall for again even if I lost my memory. Who else would I be obsessed with if not you?" He caressed her wrist gently, "I'll try to regain my childhood memories. I'll bring back the Hamilton you knew." Natalia stiffened.

After a long pause, she chuckled bitterly, "It's too late for that. Even if you remember, sthings can never be undone." Hamilton gently caressed her cheek.

"But at least, we can have fewer regrets." Their relationship was laden with regrets; reducing them, even slightly, was worth any effort.

The word "regret" made Natalia's eyes well up.

Indeed, all they had left was regret.

Hamilton took Natalia straight to a hotel.

He ordered dinner from a renowned local eatery.

"Try this. If it's good, I'll order from here for you. I checked it out this afternoon; it's clean, and they use the best ingredients." Natalia frowned, about to protest.

Hamilton chuckled, "Consider it doing the best for our child." Natalia bit her lip, swallowing her objections. After all, he was the father of her child.

Their meal was eaten in silence.

Afterwards, Hamilton prepared a bath as if he had done it a thousand times before. Natalia watched him, puzzled.

"Hamilton, I can do these things myself." Even though she was pregnant, she wasn't helpless.

But Hamilton just lifted her into the bathroom.

"Natalia, I'm just trying to win your favor." Her heart skipped a beat at his words.

She avoided his gaze and whispered, "You don't have to." Hamilton just smiled and didn't push further.

After her bath, Hamilton was sitting on the sofa. Hearing her, he grabbed a hairdryer.

Once he dried her hair, he asked, "Can you tellabout our childhood?" Natalia froze.

She got up and walked to the bed.

"There's nothing to tell." She preferred to forget those memories herself, the source of her pain.

Hamilton leaned against the sofa, laughing bitterly after a long silence, "Natalia, you're being unfair to me." She replied softly, "Maybe." Perhaps it was unfair. But sometimes, the one who remembers is the one who suffers the most.

Hamilton ended up sleeping on the sofa.

Natalia, exhausted, fell asleep quickly.

Hamilton sat by her bed for a long tbefore pulling her into his arms.

Early the next day, he kissed her lips.

The familiar sensation spread between them. Natalia struggled to push him away, but Hamilton suddenly spoke.

"I'm heading back to Silkwood City today. Killian Lyons will take care of everything for you, Natalia. Wait for me." Caught off guard, Natalia stopped struggling.

Hamilton kissed her again before getting out of bed.

He quickly left after getting ready.

Natalia, now wide awake, stared at the closed door, unable to fall back asleep.

The cultural exchange event lasted nearly half a month.

Natalia was incredibly busy throughout.

Hamilton had been gone for half that time.

Natalia never asked what he was busy with, focusing entirely on her work.

When the event finally concluded, Natalia sighed with relief.

Dawson was waiting for her at the entrance.

"I heard you're not taking over Collin's position?" Natalia nodded, "Yes." Dawson frowned, "Because of the rumors?" Lately, there had been whispers.

Ssaid Natalia got her position through connections, involving underhanded deals.

The rumors were vague yet persistent, getting uglier by the day.

Originally, Dawson thought Natalia's quick promotion might spark jealousy, but her competence was undeniable.

Yet, the rumors grew, even dredging up a past accusation against Natalia.

Natalia pressed her lips together, "Not entirely because of that."

Natalia was dreading taking over Collin's shift, not just because of the rumors swirling around, but more importantly, because she knew her pregnancy would soon becimpossible to hide.

She didn't want anyone at work to find out, so she felt she had no choice but to back out.

However, she hadn't gone into the details with Dawson.

Dawson seemed a bit disappointed but simply advised her, "Don't worry too much.

I'll get to the bottom of this as soon as I can." Natalia managed a smile, "Thanks, Mr. Dawson." Dawson didn't elaborate, offering just a few words of comfort instead.

As Natalia left the conference venue, her phone buzzed with a call from Scarlett.

"Natalia, have you seen the news?" Natalia was puzzled, "What news?" Scarlett's laughter boomed through the phone.

"Just check it out. It's the most entertaining piece I've seen in a long time." Frowning, Natalia ended the call and quickly opened her news app, only to freeze in shock.

She had been so buried in her work

lately that she was unaware of the seismic scandal that had rocked the Fowler family and sent shockwaves through the upper echelons of society. It started with Orpheus Fowler being

implicated in a smuggling ring, followed by accusations of his m involvement in in a kidnapping. Westley Fowler, in a bid to protect his grandson, had apparently disregarded the law, with every accusation backed by solid evidence.

Then, as if by scoordinated effort, various power players began targeting the Fowler family.

Overnight, the Fowlers found themselves on the metaphorical grill.

At the height of the turmoil, Westley Fowler was livid, practically foaming at the mouth. In a fit of rage, he hurled a teacup at Hamilton's head.

"You good-for-nothing, what on earth are you trying to do!" Hamilton dodged the scalding tea before looking up at Westley with a smirk.

"Do? You said the Fowler family had no room for her. So, I decided to just tear the Fowler family apart." mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1 mmMwWLliIofiflo&1 mmMwWLlilofiflo&1
