Chapter 306 After hanging up the phone, Hamilton felt a wave of calm wash over him.
Alden let out a small sigh of relief nearby.
As expected, when it comes to dealing with his brother, Natalia was the secret weapon.
"Bro, where's Patrick?" Alden asked.
Hamilton, drying his hands, looked down and said, "Send him back. Make sure they treat him well. Don't let him off too easily." Alden nodded quickly, hesitating before adding in a low voice, "Bro, Lucinda Lynd has gone missing." Hamilton paused in his actions, then lifted his gaze towards the distant lights of the old mansion.
"See if the old man has hidden her away." Alden nodded in acknowledgment.
Hamilton fell silent for a moment before asking, "Is the therapist arranged?" Alden replied, "Yes, but, brother..." Though Hamilton hadn't shared the details, the information Alden had uncovered recently, plus Patrick's words earlier, gave him a pretty good idea of the situation.
Hamilton knew what he was trying to say and cut him off with a simple acknowledgment.
"Bring them to see me." Natalia had been feeling uneasy since she read the news about the Fowler family, suspecting Hamilton's involvement.
She exhaled softly, trying to suppress the turmoil inside her.
Killian, observing her, said, "Ms. Jenkins, Mr. Fowler and the old man are at odds." Natalia paused before asking, "Is he in danger?" Killian shook his head, "Hard to say." "Westley was quite ruthless in his youth. Now, with the two at loggerheads, who knows what might happen." He looked at Natalia.
"Ms. Jenkins, maybe you should call Mr. Fowler yourself." Natalia clenched her fists.

Natalia answered.
"Ryan, what's up?" Ryan's voice was light and teasing, "Mr. Locke would like to see you." Natalia was taken aback; she was familiar with Mr. Locke, the founder of the UNESCO World Language Research Center.
Without any hesitation, Natalia agreed, "Okay, when and where?" "I'm with Mr. Locke at the restaurant downstairs from your hotel. You probably haven't had dinner yet, right? Why not join us?" Natalia thought for a moment before agreeing.
She changed her clothes and headed out.
Killian, seeing her leave, quickly asked, "Ms. Jenkins, did you call Mr. Fowler?" Natalia pressed her lips together, "Not yet." Killian looked somewhat disappointed, "He might be waiting for your call." Natalia glanced at him, "Hamilton's paying you well, it seems." Killian chuckled, "Then I better earn my keep." Natalia couldn't help but smile.
A moment later, she whispered, "I'll call him when I get back." Killian, surprised, quickly sent a message to Hamilton.
Hamilton was sitting across from a therapist.
"Mr. Fowler, the condition you're describing, recovering those memories won't be easy. Electroconvulsive therapy, in layman's terms, is about making your subconscious fear those memories, making you reluctant to recall them. It's really a psychological issue." Hamilton's face bore a cold smile, "Just tellthe method." The therapist paused before suggesting, "Electroconvulsive therapy might be needed." Hamilton looked down, silent for a moment before asking, "Will it leave scars?" The therapist shook his head, "No, but it will be painful. You might have srecollection of the process." Hamilton nodded.
"Let's start tomorrow." The therapist was taken aback, "Are you sure?" Hamilton frowned, "Was I not clear?" The therapist didn't dare say more, only adding, "I'll prepare." Hamilton, after a moment of silence, "Don't tell anyone, including Alden." The therapist smiled, "Mr. Fowler, you can trust my professionalism." After the therapist left, Hamilton checked his phone.
Seeing the message, his fingers tightened slightly.
He was getting impatient.
Originally, he planned to wait until after the treatment to seek her out.
But now, he found he couldn't wait a moment longer.
Arriving at the restaurant, Natalia found not just Ryan and Mr. Locke, but also a young man waiting in a corner.
Seeing her, Ryan got up and approached.
"Something the matter?" Natalia asked.
Ryan grinned, "Looks like they want to recruit you." Natalia was taken aback, "Seriously?" Ryan raised an eyebrow, "Ask them yourself." Mr. Locke greeted Natalia warmly, "Ms. Jenkins, sorry to bother you so late." Natalia smiled, "It's okay, Mr. Locke. What's the matter?" Locke glanced at the young man next to him.
The young man didn't speak, instead pushing a business proposal across the table to Natalia.
Curious, Natalia picked it up and began to read, her expression turning to surprise.
"This is?" The young man smiled, "I'm starting a company like this and would like to invite Ms. Jenkins to join." After a thorough pitch, Natalia listened attentively.
But after hearing everything, she smiled, "I'm sorry, I'm not interested in business right now." The young entrepreneur seemed unfazed, "I know, but if this company gets off the ground, we'll be integrating with the United Nations Language Initiative. It's not just about business. We'll be handling high-end business translations from around the globe, plus collaborating with international dignitaries." Natalia paused before she could decline, but "Don't use man quickly added, to say no. Considerat an opportunity for both of us. My door is always open to you."
Mr. Locke chuckled, "Ms. Jenkins, I do hope you'll I thinkyt over. You're a rare talent in the field of linguistics." Natalia bit her lip and offered a small smile. With the conversation taking such a turn, it was hard for her to outright refuse.
However, she knew she probably wouldn't go.
Their conversation soon drifted away from the company to discuss the (to cultural renaissance happening back home. Natalia spoke softly with them.

By the tdinner was over, it was already 10 PM.
After seeing off the two men, Ryan turned to Natalia.
"Tired? I didn't expect Mr. Locke to be such a conversationalist." Natalia shook her head with a smile, "Not really. I always enjoy sharing about things I'm passionate about." Ryan nodded, then asked, "So, you're really not considering their offer?"
Natalia chuckled, "You know I don't plan on leaving the Foreign Affairs Department." " Ryan had hoped Natalia wouldn't leave the Department, too.
But after the recent uproar caused by Delilah, coupled with the rumors swirling around the Department, Ryan felt a pang of sympathy for Natalia.
Even though he knew Natalia wasn't at fault, if moving away from Delilah a better career prospect and a more peaceful life, he wished that for her.
"Natalia, you can chase your dreams anywhere." Natalia looked down, silent for a moment.
"I know, but I don't need to leave my current job because of someone like that." Ryan was about to respond when Natalia's phone suddenly rang.
Natalia glanced at the caller ID, pausing briefly.
Hamilton.
Ryan offered a bittersweet smile, "Should I drive you back?" Natalia returned the smile, "No need, Ryan. It's late; you should head back too. Good night." With that, she got up and started walking back.
But she had barely taken two steps when suddenly, a kid crunning from the side, colliding into her with surprising speed.
