Chapter 307 Natalia's face turned ashen.

Instinctively, she wanted to protect her belly.

Then, suddenly thinking better of it, she stiffened, stopping herself and grabbed the nearby table for support instead.

Seeing this, Ryan quickly rose to help Natalia but was beaten to it by Killian.

With Killian's support, Natalia's complexion improved slightly.

Ryan asked in a low voice, "Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself anywhere?" Natalia, still a bit shaken, shook her head.

Ryan's gaze drifted to Natalia's abdomen.

Natalia shifted slightly, avoiding his look.

"Ryan, I'm really fine." The kid was fast but luckily, not very strong.

Seeing she was indeed okay, Ryan finally nodded.

Killian then took the child aside.

Aware of the trouble he caused, the child burst into tears when Killian picked him up.

Soon after, the child's mother rushed over in a hurry.

"What are you doing? Picking on my child?" Killian's stern expression was a bit intimidating.

"Ma'am, do you realize this is a public place? Could you please keep an eye on your child? What if someone got hurt?" The woman's face soured at his words.

"This is a public place, so he can run around if he wants. It's just a bump; it doesn't hurt. It's not like this is your restaurant!" Killian was about to retort, but a look from Natalia stopped him.

He moved to support Natalia, but she insisted on standing on her own.

In a crowded restaurant, a bump from a child wasn't usually a big deal.

Without further ado, she and Killian left the scene.

Once outside, Natalia said, "Keep an eye on that woman and her child, see if they contact anyone. Then, get in touch with Mr. Spiegel to check the restaurant's security footage, see if the child was just running around or if it was intentional." Killian nodded quickly in agreement.

Ryan, frowning, eventually asked, "You think it was on purpose?" Natalia shook her head.

"Just being cautious. It's common for kids to run around in restaurants, but I can't take any risks now." Ryan looked at her with concern.

What woman should have to be this vigilant during pregnancy? She should be carefree.

But now, she was constantly on guard.

Ryan sighed, "Are you sure you're okay? Should I get a doctor?" Natalia shook her head.

"I'm really fine." She felt no discomfort now, just a lingering fear from the near fall.

Ryan nodded, "If you feel anything off, letknow." Meanwhile, outside in a car, Delilah and Mrs. Powell were observing Natalia.

Mrs. Powell frowned, "She doesn't look pregnant. Are you sure you're not overthinking this?" Delilah wasn't sure.

Recently, Natalia had been cautious, always wearing flat shoes and minimal makeup. Even at high-profile events, she hardly dolled up. Once, when someone nearly bumped into her, Ryan instinctively protected her belly.

It was a brief moment, but Delilah noticed.

Delilah wondered if she was being overly suspicious, suspecting Natalia might be pregnant.

Hence, she arranged for a child to bump into Natalia as a test tonight.

But now, it seemed she might have been wrong.

"Any pregnant woman would instinctively protect her belly in such situations. Did you see her do that?" "Besides, I had someone check the hospitals. There's no record of her pregnancy check-ups, only a diagnosis indicating she has difficulty conceiving. Maybe yol really overthinking this. Think about it, if she were really pregnant, would Hamilton leave her alone here for so many days?" Delilah's expression darkened.

"What do you mean Hamilton cares for her? Hamilton is just playing games." Mrs. Powell chuckled, "Right, right. Playing games to the point of falling out with Westley, having his people guard her all the time." Delilah felt a surge of frustration at Mrs. Powell's words.

"Can't you say less? I asked you here to see if she's pregnant!" Mrs. Powell snorted, "I think she's not." "Then why isn't she wearing heels? Why no makeup? At such a grand event, she doesn't even bother to put on makeup!" "Maybe she's tall enough without heels, pretty enough without makeup." Delilah's face turned a shade of green with anger, "Whose side are you on?" Mrs. Powell remained silent.

Fuming, Delilah turned her gaze back inside.

Natalia better not be pregnant. If she was, Delilah swore she wouldn't let her off easily.

Mrs. Powell warned, "Be careful. If Hamilton finds out, he won't let you off easily." Back in her hotel room, Natalia collapsed onto the sofa, feeling drained.

Her composure at the restaurant was out of necessity; only she knew how panicked she truly felt.

Recollections of a previous miscarriage flooded her mind at that moment.

If she lost this child, she didn't know how she'd find the strength to go on. Natalia sat there, her knuckles white from gripping her phone too hard. After what felt like an eternity, her phone rang.

It was Hamilton.

Natalia steadied herself and answered.

"Natalia, don't be scared." Hamilton's voice cthrough, causing Natalia's eyes to well up with tears.

She fought back the urge to cry, "I'm okay. I'm not that fragile." Hamilton's voice carried a soft chuckle.

"Yes, my Natalia is the strongest." Natalia looked down, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"How are things on your end?" Hamilton cracked a smile, "I'm good." Natalia replied with a hint of weariness in her voice, "Just be safe, okay? I'm feeling pretty beat. Think I'll call it a night." "Alright, get ssleep," Hamilton responded softly.

"Will do." With those final words, Natalia hung up the call.

After ending the call, she remained seated on the couch for a long while, wiping away tears before she finally got up and made her way to the bedroom.

The moment Hamilton hung up, his expression darkened.

"Keep digging," he commanded.

Killian nodded vigorously in response.

They reviewed the surveillance footage again.

"Mr. Fowler, we've gone over the footage multiple times now. That kid was causing a fuss from the moment they entered the diner, and no, they didn't cinto contact with anyone suspicious," Killian reported. The woman hadn't even taken a bathroom break.

Hamilton sat there, his gaze fixed on the screens, a flicker of determination in his eyes.

After a moment, he instructed, "Pull up the surveillance from the hotel entrance."

The footage from the entrance was quickly on screen, showing the m mother and child getting out of their car and entering the diner, all smiles and laughter. Everything seemed normal.

However, just then, another car pulled up behind the mother and m child's vehicle. The dakstopped, but no one got in or out, as if waiting for someone. Yet, the woman glanced back at it fleetingly. That single action made Hamilton's gaze harden. "Check the license plate of that car," he ordered.
