Pedro spotted them from afar and jogged over, wiping sweat from his forehead. "Mr. and Mrs. Houston, you're finally here." From his anxious looks, Debra could tell how much chaos Drake had stirred up inside the station.

"Is he inside?" she asked.

"Yes. Please, just take him away. I can't take it anymore," Pedro pleaded, clasping his hands together.

Debra raised an eyebrow. "Drake surely knows how to make a scene." "I'm not going in," Marion said, twirling his car keys. "Or he won't say a thing." "But he called for you. Are you sure?" "Not interested in seeing him." "Alright." Inside the police station, Drake was lounging in a chair, his hands cuffed in front of him.

Two interrogators stood before him, bowing and apologizing.

"We're sorry for recognizing you in those clothes, Mr. Lowe." "Exactly, Mr. Lowe. We thought you were joking. Please, take off the handcuffs." "I'm not taking them off," Drake said lazily, leaning back in the chair. "Bring Marion over and let him do it." "Let him wear them if he likes," a calm voice cut through the room.

Drake's face instantly darkened. The two interrogators turned toward the door, where Debra stood. It was as if a ray of hope had pierced their grim situation. "Mrs. Houston." "Alright, this isn't your problem anymore. Leave us." "Okay." The two officers scurried out, grateful to escape from their mistake of arresting Drake. That was a job that should've been handled by the Orkgate police force.

Debra pulled out a chair and sat down across from Drake. She took good look at him, dressed in his fisherman outfit with those shiny handcuffs. He even had the Cuff key spinning idly in his hand.

"Are you really planning to keep those on?" "Unless Marion comes to uncuff me." "Whatever. No problem for me." "What did you just say?" "I just cto ask you a few quick questions. What were you doing at the harbor today?"
