When Matthew heard that news, he glared fiercely, his eyes wide with anger. “Clarify your words”

Perrin was in a state of panic. “Nora, it's Perrin. Mr. Davis has just collapsed. If you're still at the company, please

Nora’s heart dropped in fear. “What happened to my Dad?”

“Are you at the office?”

“Yes.”

“You need to get to Mr. Davis's office immediately.”

“Alright.” Nora ended the call and rushed to the elevator, pressing the button frantically, but her anxiety made

her run for the stairs instead.

When she reached the sixth floor, she sprinted, losing one of her shoes in the process. Without thinking, she took

off the other shoe and ran barefoot toward the office..

As she pushed the door open, she was struck by the sight of Matthew slumped and unconscious in a chair. She

gasped. “Dad, what's wrong?”

Hurrying to his side, she took his hand. “Dad, please look at me. I'm Nora. | promise | won't upset you again. Just

look at me. Please.”

Matthew didn’t respond. Just then, Perrin spoke up, “Nora, I've already called an ambulance. Maybe we should

lift Mr. Davis

When the young men saw Matthew slumped in the chair, they understood why Nora had rushed in so quickly.

Perrin said, “What are you standing around for? Lift Mr. Davis. If his treatment is delayed, can you handle that

responsibility?”

The two men hurried over and gently lifted Matthew. Perrin then explained to Nora, “Nora, don’t getwrong.

Nora didn’t respond to Perrin’s words; she only instructed the two men, “Be careful.” Then she followed them out

of the office.

Everyone in the company looked on in shock as Matthew was carried out, exchanging worried glances and

His heart sank at her words. “I'll be right there.” Robert hung up and dashed to the school gate, but the Davis

family’s car was nowhere to be found. Frantic, he spotted a taxi, but it was already occupied.

As he looked around, he saw Elysia stepping into a black sedan, and a glimmer of hope sparked within him.

Forgetting their usual issues, he approached the car without hesitation.

He knocked on the window, and Elysia turned to look at him. Her expression was puzzled when she recognized
