Chapter 134 Upon hearing Odalyn’s words, Elysia was taken aback. Bella only lost her after going to Jorlandia.

Scott had only given her a brief explanation, stating that she had been taken away and later abandoned in the

village. It seemed Scott had kept the full truth from her. Elysia turned to Odalyn and asked, “Odalyn, what do you

mean by that?” Berenger cleared his throat and shot a warning glance at Odalyn. “Why are you telling her this?”

56% Odalyn replied with annoyance, “It’s not a secret, so why shouldn't | talk about it? | want to share.” Ignoring

Berenger’s expression, she wrapped her arm around Elysia and said gently, “Elysia, cwithinside. I'll

explain everything slowly.” Elysia nodded and followed Odalyn into the living room. Logan, eager to find out the

secrets, hurried after them. As he passed by Berenger, he patted his dad’s shoulder with a serious face. “Dad,

good luck. | can’t help you this time. “Didn't you just get Mom angry? How could you dare to argue back? Isn't

that a challenge to her authority?” The group settled onto the sofa in the living room. Odalyn took Elysia’s hand

and began to recount those past events. “Years ago, Bella was pregnant with you. Just days before her due date,

she traveled with Scott to Jorlandia. They said they had arranged to give birth at a local hospital. “On the night

you were born, Berenger and | hurried to catch a flight to Jorlandia. Sadly, the flight was delayed, and when we

finally arrived-" Odalyn paused, considering whether to share the rest. She met Elysia’s gaze and, after a long

pause, continued, “When we got there, Scott told us that Bella had given birth to a stillborn.” At the mention of

“stillborn”, Elysia’s brow furrowed deeply. Odalyn continued, “To spare Bella further pain, Scott had already taken

care of the child. By the twe arrived, we never even saw the baby.” Elysia asked, “Odalyn, if it was stillborn,

then how do | exist?” Odalyn said, “It was only after you were identified as belonging to the Rosewood family

that we learned the truth. Scott explained that you hadn't died but had been stolen. He made up that story just

to protect Bella's feelings. “After hearing that she had given birth to a stillborn, Bella’s mental state worsened.

She becsad and lost in sorrow. “That sadness lasted almost a year, and Scott couldn’t bear to see her suffer

any longer. He took her to an orphanage and they adopted Emma. After that, Bella's spirits slowly began to lift.”

As Elysia absorbed these revelations, her brow tightened with worry. There were holes in this story. ‘Why did

Scott and Bella choose to have the baby in Jorlandia? If it was for better medical facilities, it was understandable.

‘But Scott was not someone who would care about that. And who would steal a baby in Jorlandia only to leave it

in Sivro? The two places are far apart.” Odalyn’s statement that Bella started to heal after adopting Emma

seemed to show the roots of their deep bond. It was Emma who had brought Bella back to life during her darkest

days. Yet, Elysia found it hard to imagine how Bella, with her temperament, could treat an adopted daughter as

lovingly as her own-even more so. 1/3 16:01 Thu, 13 Feb Cy Chapter 134 356%= Thinking back on the times

Bella defended Emma and the unmistakable love in her eyes, Elysia wondered why Bella had picked Emma out

of all the kids in the orphanage. There was surely more to this story. Once she returned to Sivro, a DNA test

might just reveal the truth. Logan, still shocked by the revelations, realized that while he always knew Elysia had

lived in the village for eighteen years, he had been unaware of the depth of her past. Elysia had faced so much,

being labeled as stillborn. From now on, he would have to treat her with extra care. +5 The atmosphere grew

heavy, and noticing Elysia’s worried expression, Odalyn wrapped her in a warm embrace, patting her back gently

for comfort. “Thankfully, all of that is in the past now. Seeing you happy fills my heart with joy.” Berenger chimed

in at the right moment, “What Odalyn says is true, Elysia. The past is gone; what matters is that you've grown

up safe and sound.” “Elysia, Berenger and | owe you an apology. We missed your birthday because we were

away on business, and we regret that we couldn't be there. It wasn’t on purpose.” Seeing the guilt on Odalyn’s

face, Elysia smiled. “You both have been so kind to me; | could never hold that against you.” At this, Odalyn

smiled and reached out to stroke Elysia’s hair. They really had been away on business and couldn’t return.

However, she withheld one detail-how much they disliked that birthday party. Odalyn had never liked Bella and

her husband, believing them too cunning. The sudden arrival of a niece had made her uneasy as she was still

getting used to the change. She had only heard a short recap from Logan; beyond that, she knew nothing.

“Elysia, letshow you to your room,” Odalyn said as she stood up, pulling Elysia up with her. Logan tried to

rise and follow but froze in place with just one glance from Odalyn; her stare was intimidating. “Why are you so

clingy? Just stay here and don’t follow us around,” Odalyn said with a tone of disdain. Logan looked toward

Berenger, seeking support, but Berenger shot him a glance and said, “Don’t look at me. Your Mom is right.”

Odalyn led Elysia upstairs to a spacious bedroom filled with comforting furnishings, mainly in soft pink colors.

“When | heard you were coming, | wasn’t sure what style you liked, so | made ssimple decorations. | hope

you like it.” As Elysia looked around the room, she could tell a lot of thought had gone into it. Thinking back to

her old room in the Rosewood family-a dark, rough little space-this one was a world away in comfort. Even

though pink wasn’t her favorite color, it was Odalyn’s thoughtful gesture, and she felt very content. It was clear

that Berenger and Odalyn were genuinely kind-hearted, unlike Scott and his wife. “Odalyn, I really love it. Thank

you so much.” “I'm so glad to hear that,” Odalyn replied warmly. At first, while decorating the room, she was

worried Elysia might not like it. Since they had no daughter, their hhad only ever reflected Logan's boyish

charm; there had never been anything for a young lady. This room had just recently been set up. Wanting to

cater to a girl's supposed love for all things pretty and pink, Odalyn had designed the room like this, relieved that

Elysia was pleased. 16:01 Thu, 13 Feb Chapter 134 Elysia said, “Odalyn, I'm only here for a few days. This is too

much.” H
