Chapter 40
Ava looked at the scene before her and quickly grabbed Elysia’s hand, worry etched across her face. “Are you
okay?”
They had been stunned for a moment after hearing the conversation between their homeroom teacher and
Elysia, and had only entered the classroom after her.
As soon as they stepped inside, they were met with a shocking sight that left them feeling uneasy.
Elysia hadn't even been criticized in the office, so how was it that someone wanted to hit her as soon as they
returned to class? This was way out of
line!
How could anyone lay a finger on such a delicate, beautiful girl?
One of the boys, seeing Eric, gave a sheepish laugh. “Oh, it’s just Eric. | just wanted to teach her a lesson.”
“Teach her a lesson?” Eric raised an eyebrow, tightening his grip on the boy’s wrist.
The boy’s face paled slightly, but he managed to force a smile. “Eric, con,
have mercy.”
“Why do you want to teach her a lesson? Didn't | say that you can’t bully her? Looks like your memory isn’t that
great,” Eric replied, his hold tightening more.
The boy’s wrist was turning white from the pressure, and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. It was
clear he was using quite a bit of force.
Realizing that pleading with Eric was pointless, the boy turned to Elysia. “Can you please tell Eric to letgo?”
Elysia glanced at the girl lying on the floor before retorting, “Are you going to bully her anymore?”
“I won't! | swear!” the boy stammered.
Hearing this, Elysia finally looked back at Eric and said, “Let him go.”
Eric first glanced over at Elysia, then at Grace, the girl lying on the ground, and quickly figured out what was
happening.
He forcefully shook off the boy’s hand, a menacing tone in his voice. “I don’t care what you do with the others,
but you lay a finger on her, and you're done for!”
Eric made it clear: what happened to Grace and the others was their problem. But when it cto Elysia, no one
had the right to mess with her, no matter what she did.
Ava now understood the situation-Elysia had been on the verge of being attacked, and it was likely related to

“Got it!” The boy clutched his sore wrist, a forced grin on his face.
Grace remained curled up on the floor, trembling violently. She had gone through this kind of thing so many
times in Class 6: isolation, silent treatment, verbal attacks, or even physical confrontations.
She hated the people in Class 6. Yet, she had never imagined someone would choose to help her one day.
However, to her, this kind of help felt like pity and sympathy. She didn’t need anyone's pity.
Elysia bent down to help her up. Seeing the fear in her eyes, she softly reassured, “It’s okay now.”
Grace finally took a good look at Elysia. She really was stunningly beautiful, beautiful enough to make anyone
jealous.
Grace pushed away Elysia’s hand and coldly said, “Thanks.” Her tone held no warmth,
Elysia didn’t mind Grace's attitude at all; to her, Grace wasn't worth it.
But Ava was fuming. She shouted at Grace, “What's with your attitude?”
Grace didn’t respond. She turned away and sat down at a desk.
Ava was even angrier. She rolled up her sleeves, and Elysia couldn't help but think Ava was being a bit hot-
headed. Quickly, Elysia tugged at Ava’s shirt sleeve. “Let it go.”

“I'm standing up for you!” Ava insisted.
“I know, but it’s not necessary.”
“Elysia, girls like her aren’t worth your effort!”
“Exactly, such an ingrate.”
Nearby classmates chimed in, echoing their sentiments.
Elysia glanced at Grace and firmly stated, “Let's end it here. No one will mention this again.” With that, she led
Ava away from the “scene of the crime.”
Ava was still sulking, pouting with an unhappy expression.
“Don’t be mad,” Elysia said gently.
“Why did you help her? Just look at her attitude-she isn’t worth it!” Ava retorted.
“I just happened to be there and helped out. But why was she being picked on? Do you know?” Elysia asked.
Ava’s expression softened a bit before she replied, “She transferred from Class 2. Everyone welcomed her when
she first came.”
“But she’s so arrogant; she looks down on all of us. Over time, everyone just started to really dislike her.”
Elysia understood now. So, this was her own doing!
Ava pouted again. “No matter what, you're not allowed to help her anymore! People like her don’t deserve it!”
“Got it, | understand,” Elysia replied.
“You've got to promiseyou won't help her,” Ava insisted.
Elysia looked at her, suppressing a laugh. It seemed like it was the first tsomeone spoke to her like this.
“Okay, | get it. | promise | won't help her again. Is that enough?” Elysia said.
With that, Ava finally nodded.
Before class started in the afternoon, the homeroom teacher shared the school’s decision with the class.
Everyone's spirits plummeted. The class being dissolved meant Class 6 would no longer exist at Milton School.
They would be scattered to other classes like lost puppies and would face rejection and isolation.
They didn’t want this, but if they wanted to improve their overall scores in the next exam, it was completely
beyond their reach.
However, when Grace heard the news, she was actually thrilled. The dissolution of Class escape the nightmare of
being in Class 6!
Given her grades, she shouldn't end up in too bad of a class. It was definitely good news.
After the homeroo
meant she could be placed in another class and finally
teacher left, the classroom fell into an eerie silence. Everyone sat quietly, lost in their own thoughts. After a
moment, someone suggested, “How about we go petition the principal Levi to not disband Class 6?”
“Yeah, let's go talk to Levi! No matter what he says, we have to try!” another said.
“I agree! Class 6 can’t be disbanded!”
“I've already decided. If Class 6 gets disbanded, I'm dropping out! I'm done with this school!”
too!”
“The competition hasn't even started yet-why are you all giving up?” Elysia’s cold voice cut through the tension,
and everyone turned to look at
her.

Immediately, someone spoke up in defense, “Because we know our limits. We can’t do it.”

Chapter 40
“You can do it; you just don’t want to. You're no worse than anyone else. Don’t you want to prove yourselves?”
Elysia said.
“Why do we need to prove ourselves?” someone asked.
“Because if you want to keep Class 6, you have to prove yourselves!” Elysia replied.
Everyone looked at her, puzzled. What was the connection between keeping Class 6 and proving themselves?
Elysia continued, “Since the school has made this decision, they won't easily backtrack. The only thing you can
do is face it head-on, not back down at the last moment.”
“We want to fight, but what if we can’t do it? Isn't that just a waste of time?” another student replied.
“Then if you know the petition could be useless, why are you still deciding to go through with it?” Elysia
challenged.
Everyone fell into thought. Who could guarantee that the petition would succeed?
To Milton School, Class 6 was like a “tumor.” They would love nothing more than to see it disbanded. How could a
few words or pleas change that?
In contrast, the only thing that seemed somewhat promising was Elysia’s suggestion to “face it directly.”
“Elysia is right; we can’t back down. It's just about improving our grades! How hard can that be?” Eric chimed in.
Everyone stared at him in shock. These words cfrom the ‘big bad wolf* himself! It was unbelievable!
Ava nodded in agreement, “As long as Class 6 isn’t disbanded, any effort we put in is worth it!”
“Exactly, we can’t just do nothing and think we can’t achieve it!”
“Right, let’s gamble a little. We're no worse than anyone else!”
Class 6's spirits soared in an instant; they were ready to fight back.
Elysia smiled, satisfied. She had achieved her goal! Only by fundamentally changing their mindset could they
hope for better progress moving forward.
01:
Grace watched, anger burning in her eyes. She hated how Elysia always meddled in things. Wouldn't it be easier
to just let Class 6 be disbanded? Why did she have to interfere?
