He then turned around and lowered his voice as he asked Nadine, "Sean's asleep. Are you sure you want to take him away right now?"
Brad was thankful Sean had fallen asleep. Nadine would never have the heart to wake him, she'd definitely let him sleep a while longer. That would give him a chance to keep her here and spend more talone with her. Nadine walked over and gently kissed her son on the cheek, confirming that he was sound asleep. After running wild all morning, it was no wonder he was exhausted.
She smiled as she stroked Sean's pale cheek. "Let's just let him sleep a little longer." Then, she carefully lifted him and placed him in his bed.
Afraid she might overexert herself, Brad took Sean from her arms and gently laid him in the bed. He then I carefully took the child's shoes off and tucked him in, all the while being careful not to wake him.
Once he was done, he gently took Nadine's wrist and led her out of om Sean's room. He shut the door behind them and continued to hold her hand as they walked down the hallway.
