Chapter 73 Eloise was gently fiddling with her hair, regretfully saying, "I messed it up while sleeping." Harvey cracked a smile.

He then said, "Sendthe tand place. I've got things to handle in the next few days." Eloise hurried back to her room to grab her phone and send him the information.

Harvey saved the details in his notes.

Looking up, he saw Eloise staring at him.

He knew she was quite taken with his looks, and he felt a hint of masculine vanity, playfully pinching her face, "Staring, huh? Why didn't you dare to do it when I was in the shower?" The charm of a mature man was evident in his smile and eyes.

Eloise's face turned red.

She pretended to clear away the dishes, but Harvey held her hand, "Let Marianna handle it tomorrow!" Eloise could sense something in his tone, but she wasn't the type to make the first move, and he hadn't taken things any further with her, so she wasn't sure about his intentions.

Harvey carried her back to the master bedroom, and just like the previous night, he stopped after a simple intimacy.

Eloise was nestled against him.

He whispered in her ear, "We'll do the rest on Saturday, okay?" Eloise was too shy to respond, burying her face in the crook of his neck. Having spent quite stwith him, she had a fair idea about his personality. Harvey had a strong need for control.

Even in bed, he called the shots. When and how far they went was entirely up to him.

Eloise could only follow his lead.

As the night grew late, she fell asleep from exhaustion.

In the darkness, Harvey quietly watched Eloise's face.

His mood was off tonight, but having such a tender person taking care of him in his apartment, letting him do as he pleased, felt good to any man.

Harvey suddenly felt like cherishing her a bit.

After spending a wonderful night on Saturday, she would probably wake up very happy on Sunday morning, right? In the morning, Eloise woke up.

Harvey was already gone from the apartment, and Marianna had also left after finishing the chores.

Eloise felt like she was falling.

She was actually smitten with Harvey's gentleness! Their relationship was clear, but every the was gentle with her, she found herself getting emotional.

Eloise wondered if she was inherently like this. Had Harvey just revealed this side of her that she hadn't realized before? She didn't dare to think more about it and quickly got up to freshen up.

She didn't have much work recently, so she spent her free twith her dad and Michelle.

Angus had been discharged from the hospital and moved back to his original upscale neighbourhood.

Eloise didn't live at home.

Every tAngus asked, Michelle covered for her.

After lunch, she was in the kitchen helping Michelle wash fruits.

Michelle asked in a low voice, "I heard that jerk Max is having a hard tlately, is it true? Did Harvey really deal with him?" Eloise simply nodded.

She had heard about Max's situation from Veronica, who said Harveym hadn't been ruthless. Max was having sdifficulties now, but he would probably recover in a month or two. Eloise relayed this to Michelle, who responded indignantly, "That's hardly a scratch on him!" Eloise calmly said, "Dad's safety is the most important! Max is Harvey's relative, after all. He wouldn't jeopardize his sister's marriage for me." Michelle seemed a bit stunned, suddenly saying, "Eloise, I'm sorry!"

She had once promised not to betray her daughter, but in the end, she just stood by as Eloise walked towards Harvey. She knew very well that Harvey would not be a good husband, but she always deceived herself, using it to soothe her conscience. Eloise shook her head, saying, "Michelle, this has nothing to do with you!"

She wasn't Angus's biological daughter, but Angus gave her all his love, even refusing to have his own child. This kindness was something she, Eloise, would never find too much to repay, even with her life.
