Chapter 413 I'll Wait for You
Charlotte couldn’t help but smile, glancing around without seeing Arthur's car anywhere. She wasn’t worried,
though. It was only nine, and the Courthouse had just opened.
Diana studied her carefully before nodding. “You look well-rested. You're in good shape today. What are your
plans after we finish with the paperwork?”
Charlotte's lips curved into a smile, her delicate features almost glowing in the sunlight. “I'm going to clear my
name, and then we'll go our separate ways. There's no future between him and
me.”
Evie nodded immediately. “That's exactly right! You have such a bright future ahead of you. Don’t waste it on
someone who's arrogant and doesn’t know how to love!”
Pete smiled warmly, “When you make it big, can | call dibs on having you film a commercial for my ruby pendant
shop? With your star power, business would be through the roof.”
Charlotte looked at the three people before her, feeling emotional. She nodded firmly. “As long as the price is
right, anything’s possible!”

Pete rolled his eyes.
Just then, her phone rang. She pulled it out to see Jayce’s name

She realized it had been days since she’d heard from Jayce. She wondered how he was doing and if the therapy
dog, Sunny, had been helping.
“Hello? Mr. Caldwell,” Charlotte answered the phone gently, soothingly.
Jayce’s voice was heavy. “I'm flying out of the country today. The flight's in an hour. Will you cto see me
off?”
Charlotte's face registered surprise. “So soon?”
“Yeah,” Jayce said. “So, will you come? Charlotte, you'll csay goodbye, won't you?”
Charlotte was at a loss for words.
A flight in an hour meant she’d need to leave right now.
But today was supposed to be about her divorce.
She couldn't put it off any longer.
The brief silence seemed to give Jayce his answer, and he laughed uncharacteristically, “Charlotte, I'll be waiting
for you.”
With that, he hung up.
Guilt flashed across Charlotte's face as she gripped her phone tightly.
“What's wrong?” Evie asked, puzzled.
Charlotte sighed and explained the situation.
Evie was a little speechless. “Why does he need to wait for you specifically? Does he have feelings for you or
something?”
Pete glanced at her. “Who are we talking about?”
Evie replied, “Mr. Caldwell, the one Lottie met before. He seems interested in Lottie, but he’s leaving the country
today and won't be back anytsoon.”
She paused, frowning. “But today is crucial for you. What if Arthur shows up right after you leave? If he doesn’t

It was what Charlotte was worried about.
That was why she felt so urgent, not wanting to wait even longer.
Watching the minutes tick by on her phone, Charlotte felt increasingly anxious. She wanted to see Jayce off,

“Mommy.”
Just then, Julius’ childish voice broke through her thoughts.
Charlotte looked up to see him running from a parked car, his face filled with worry as he grabbed her hand.
