Chapter 83 Ask for Help
1/3
In the cozy coffee shop, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, mingling with the soft hum of an
espresso machine in the background.
Sarah wheeled herself in, her expression puzzled as she looked at Charlotte. “Mrs. Harrison, what do you want to
talk about?”
Charlotte ordered Sarah a cup of coffee and said calmly, “I want to divorce Arthur, but | can’t figure out why he’s
refusing. So, | thought I'd ask for your help.”
Sarah gripped the armrests of her wheelchair and responded, “Why? From what I've heard, you and Arthur have
always had a good relationship.”
“That's all a facade,” Charlotte said with a hint of indifference, tugging at her lips. “He wouldn't have fallen for
you if we were truly in love.”

At this, Sarah quickly defended herself. “You've misunderstood. Arthur and | are just friends.”
“That's irrelevant.” Charlotte cut Sarah off, unwilling to entertain her protests. She looked at Sarah and asked,
“Do you like him?”
Sarah pressed her lips, unsure how to respond. She couldn’t quite read Charlotte's intentions. Was she setting a
trap or genuinely offering help?

response. She thought, “What's the big deal? Either you like him, or you don’t. Why all the hemming and
hawing? If | could handle this legally, | would've done it already.”
Charlotte took a deep breath and said, “If you like him, | can help. What if | deliver him straight to your bed?
Once you've slept with him, he'll take responsibility and naturally divorce
me.”
Sarah was shocked, but as she scrutinized Charlotte's
expression, she noticed an unnerving calm. It was as if Charlotte were discussing someone else’s husband, not
hers. “Mrs. Harrison, you...”
“Actually,” Charlotte interrupted, “I'd much prefer it if you calledMs. Hardwick. | can’t stand the title ‘Mrs.
Harrison.””
Sarah was speechless. From the moment she entered this private room, nothing Charlotte said had aligned with
her expectations. She had no idea how to respond.
Charlotte took a sip of her coffee. “The atmosphere here is quite. nice. Take your tto think it over. | won't
rush you.”
Sarah lowered her head and lifted her own cup, taking a slow sip. After a long pause, she finally spoke. “Ms.
Hardwick, have you considered how Julius might feel about this?”
Charlotte looked at the pattern of her coffee cup and replied. indifferently, “Julius likes you more. Besides, I've

“Of course, but I'd appreciate a quick answer,” Charlotte said as she stood to leave. To her, Sarah's feelings for
Arthur were obvious. There was no reason for Sarah not to agree. After all, Charlotte had no memory and
couldn't possibly be scheming.
The room fell silent. Sarah set down her coffee and took out her phone to stop the recording. She pondered.
Sarah didn’t know Charlotte well, but five years ago, if not for her, Sarah would have been the one to marry
Arthur. Charlotte had deliberately gone into Arthur's room, seduced him, and ended up married and pregnant.
Sarah thought, “Charlotte is cunning to the core. Everything she’s done has been for Arthur, to bechis wife.
Could she really give that up so easily, just because of this supposed memory loss?”
Sarah had her doubts. A mild concussion leading to amnesia seemed far-fetched.
